Objectives: To develop church members into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

  1. Sabbath School. Encourages a deeper understanding of the Bible and Christian doctrines.
  2. Health & Temperance. Promotes mental, physical, and social health.
  3. Stewardship. Encourages fiscal, social, and spiritual responsibility as it relates to church, family and community.
  4. Prayer. Supports prayer needs of the community (intercessory, group, etc)
  5. Web Minister. Keeps Church and public informed about Madison Mission activities and services via internet.
  6. Assistance. Provides needy members with tangible support during crisis situations.
  7. Telephone. Encourages each church member with regular phone calls.
  8. Community Service. Provides immediate needs of disadvantaged members and friends

Objectives: To increase church membership through training and mobilization of members.

  1. BOOT Camp (Bible Official Outreach Training). Trains members to give Bible Studies
  2. Small Group Bible Studies. Provides opportunities for interested people to study doctrines in small group settings
  3. Home Bible Studies. Encourages Bible Studies in family homes
  4. House of Hope (Prison Ministries). Provides support to families of imprisoned persons
  5. Food Bank. Supplies food for impoverished in the community
  6. Personal Ministry. Recruits and supports members for the other ministries of the council
  7. Intereset Coordinator. Collects names of propective members and distributes them to the relevant personnel.
  8. Spiritual Guardian. Matches new members with established church families immdeiately after baptism.

Objectives: To foster social relationships among church members and friends

  1. Social. Provides an array of social activities on a regular basis
  2. Athletics. Arranges a variety of intramural sports for every sector of the church community.
  3. Benevolence. Oversees the issuance of good will cards and gifts during cases of sickness, death, or significant event in member's life.
  4. Grief Support. Provides avenues of support for members suffering or recovering from trauma.
  5. Hospitality. Organizes eating and comfort arrangements for visitors and guests to Madison Mission.
  6. Food. Organizes pot-lucks and refreshments for church social events.

Objectives: Keep the church & public informed about Madison Mission via newsletters, online video, websites & flyers

  1. Print. Provide church members with four newletters during the year and flyers for departmental events on request
  2. Online Video. Feature at least 10 families online during the year. Produce four 5 - 15 minute podcast
  3. Calendar. Provide the church with an updated online calendar
  4. Web Training. Train 8 individuals on the basics of designing a webpage. Include 2 youth in the training process
  5. Advertising. Produce one new commercial in cooperation with the Media Department

Objectives: To enhance the quality of all relationships in the Madison Mission community.

  1. Singles Empowerment. Empowers single members to live within the guidelines of Christian integrity
  2. What God has joined (Marriage). Provides support and encouragement of Christian marriages.
  3. Divorce Recovery. Assits members and friends who are experiencing the pain of divorce.
  4. Men's Ministry. Provides support and encouragement for males
  5. Women's Ministry. Provides Support and encouragement for females.
  6. Parent Ministry. Provides support and encouragement for parents.
  1. Surrogate Family. Provides families for students away from home.
  2. Holiday Foods. Arranges dinner for students during major holidays.
  3. Public School. Provides support for Christian students in public school.
    1. EX: form Christian students associations; advise on diet; arrange alternative celebrations for students who can't attend Sabbath graduations, non Christian social events, etc
  4. Education. Monitors the education status of all church members, and encourages all to achieve academic potential.
  5. Oakwood Elementary/Middle/Academy. Represents interests and needs of students enrolled in the Oakwood Academy system.

Objectives: To nurture the spiritual growth of the youth.

  1. Adventist Youth. Provides spiritual programming for late teens and young adults.
  2. Junior Adventist Youth. Provides spiritual programming for children and early teens.
  3. Age Specific. Ensures that youth in all age categories are involved in ministries.
  4. Pathfinders. Provides life-skills for teens and young adults.
  5. Adventures. Provides life-skills for children.
  6. Eagar Beavers. Provides life-skills for very young children.
  7. Lower Division Sabbath School. Trains children in systematic Bible study.
  8. Children. Supports spiritual development of children.
  9. Youth Choir. Provides opportunities for youth to engage in the ministry of music
  10. Children's Choir. Provides opportunities for children to engage in the ministry of music

Objectives: To coordinate the efficiency of all Madison Mission worship programs.

  1. Sound. Controls sound for major services and events, and maintains sound equipment.
  2. Media. Captures services and events on DVD, and oversees duplication and distribution of cds and dvds.
  3. Usher. Maintains order and decorum during church services.
  4. Greeter. Welcomes visitors and members to all services.
  5. Security. Maintains order in parking lot and Madison Mission compund.
  6. Drama. Develop skits for worship and other events.
